It is vitally important that you keep your bike well maintained. A well maintained bike performs at its best and is a pleasure to ride and also ensures that your components last longer.

Our workshop is fully equipped to carry out all necessary repairs. All of our mechanics undergo regular assessment and are trained to the highest standards in the industry.

FIRST SERVICES | FREE OF CHARGE

During the first few weeks of riding parts of the bike tend to work their way loose and out of alignment. This can lead to the bike performing sub-optimally leading to undue wear.

For this reason we offer a first service free of charge on all new bikes. This service should be carried out between 3-8 weeks of purchasing the bike (dependent on use)

FREQUENCY OF SERVICING

In addition to your first free service on any new bike purchased at Sharpey’s Cycles, we offer three main categories of service – a minor tune up, a major tune up and a complete overhaul.

A Minor Tune Up Service is a general check-over for your bike and is recommended to be carried out every 3-9 months dependent on use.
A Major Tune up Service is a more thorough tune and includes things like wheel truing and hub tightening
A Complete Overhaul involves stripping your bike down to the frame and its components. This is recommended to be carried out every 12-18 months dependent on use.

SUSPENSION SERVICING

If your bike has either front or rear suspension fitted then it is vitally important that you also have this serviced regularly. Suspension units should be serviced every 3-12 months (dependent on use) to ensure they work optimally.

OTHER SERVICING

We also offer a full range of other servicing – from building a wheel to repairing a puncture or fitting a light set.Here at Sharpey’s Cycles where service is #1, whether you are tuning-up your old ride or installing triple clamp forks or disk brakes, we can do it all. That`s right, tune-ups to custom builds, we are your shop. We strive to keep your new bike running top notch.

So if you want your bike repaired by certified mechanics, you should bring your bike to us. In the shop we use ONLY the best tools, and replace them on a regular basis. Our mechanics are always in training. We offer services from tube replacement to complete overhauls.
